I was looking at some of the links that have been posted and just wanted to point out a slight difference.  I think Britwife was wanting hisbiscus tea not blended with anything else.  I noticed at least on one of the links that it is hisbiscus FLAVOURED tea. That means it isn't straight hibiscus but that the hisbiscus flowers are added to it.  Just watch out for the word "flavoured".

On another note, I did check at work today whether we do hibiscus tea and they do.  They actually get it in to blend for a tea called Hibiscus flowers tea.  but they will sell you the hibiscus only if that is what you are looking for. The downfall is that only 2 stores have it. The Whittard's at Carnaby Street in London and the shop in Convent Garden.

dried flowers straight up!

yes, this is quite satisfying on a hot day!

I bought a huge bag in Egypt. Now I am interested too... perhaps a local Arab market?

Don't have any market like that around here (Canterbury).  Only a Thai shop & an Indian greengrocer and neither of them have it.   I'll ask at the Whittards though, you never know ...

There is a Whittard's in Canterbury.  But they may not know the information cause I actually had to inquire today. You can feel free to tell them what I found out and  MAY be able to order it for you and have it delivered to the store.  Let me know what they say and if need be, I'll see what I can do! Just make sure they don't order the Hibiscus Flowers because that is the blended one.

Britwife, you are in luck! I found dried hibiscus twice today.

Cool Chile Co. sells hibiscus and you can order it off the internet.

I also found it at Borough Market at a spice stall, prepackaged. I will still be on the look out for heaps of hibiscus!

Thanks jk, vnicepeeps also posted that - it's the right stuff - and a good price but the postage is £6.50, three times the cost of the tea.   Was the stall at Borough Mkt  the Cool Chile stall? I am sure they have one there.   There is a stall at our Framers Market that sells Cool Chile products so next time I go there Im going to ask about the hibiscus tea, maybe they can order some in.

Guess what? I found dried hibiscus flowers!! We have a local shop called Thais R Us which has just started stocking a few middle eastern products and they have the hibiscus.  Only £1.60 for a couple of hundred grams.

Britwife... I was at Tesco today and they have the Cool Chile Hibiscus stocked... but it sounds like you've
got it good source now!  If you do need any... check the specialty section at Tesco and/or I can post some to you! :)
