Kitty made the crossing!
« on: May 04, 2006, 10:53:19 PM »
Just wanted to let everyone know that our cat is safe and sound and residing in Wiltshire. We'll be there to collect him in seven weeks. In the meantime he'll stay with my husband's parents. I wonder what he'll think of the sheep across the road!

Thanks, everyone, for your advice and encouragement. I am sooo relieved!

I'm so happy to hear your kitty is safe and sound and that all your documentation was in order!  Great news on a job well done!! ;D  I hope your 7 weeks away from him goes fast...it's hard being away from pets that long!

Has anyone's animal not been released and had to go into quarantine?

The flight I was on, there was a dog who got quarantined because the owners hadn't redone his rabbies vaccine before the blood work.  They just assumed that because he was up to date on it, it would be fine.  They were so upset...it was sad to see them leave empty handed :(

Congrats, airmom! Hope you reunite soon!

And, mmqd, a friend of mine just had her two dogs fail at Heathrow (not enough time lapsed between blood draw and coming over) so they are in quarantine as we speak. Not doing very well, either. Very, very scary. I'm dreading September when I bring my cats over...I will seriously freak if they don't pass!
