Land Beyond Time - Wales: A Britain Less Traveled
« on: May 06, 2006, 01:18:35 AM »
National Geographic Traveler magazine had an interesting article about northwest Wales in the May/June issue.  They have some pieces of the article and some great photos online...  http://www.nationalgeographic.com/traveler/photos/wales0605/wales_gallery.html

I've never been to northern Wales, but it looks like I might have to plan a holiday up there.  I've also been wanting to attend the Eisteddfod and it will be in Swansea this year too.  I'm going to miss it by about a month!  Next year it's in Wrexham, I could plan my north Wales holiday around that.   :)

We've been up to north Wales a few times. I do like it -- very different scenery from what we see where I am, in south Wales. I think we're going to try to go camping up there sometime this summer. Last year we spent a weekend at Gwydir Castle in Conwy, which was absolutely lovely!

Having said that, I do prefer the lush greenness, rolling hills and gorgeous beaches of the southwest.

My in-laws live in conwy and my husband and I got married in Llandudno which was absolutely beautiful.  It is definately worth the trip, we try to visit quite often as it is so relaxing over there...
