Whos your favorite celebrity chef?

I have to admit, I was hooked on The Restaurant when it was on. Watching pretty boy Rocco totally fumble and humiliate himself was pretty funny......but I couldn't help but feel a little sorry for him. He was like a minnow up agains't a whale.

It seems that someone at Jamie Oliver's publishing company sent a word document version of his 2nd book to one of their mates this morning. Unfortunately for the poor sap who sent the word document, it is now flying around the web at a rate of knots.

I fell for it too, Jen, but it turns out it was yet another internet hoax.

My mother and I watched for the same reason.  We are a restaurant family and this show provided many great family meal coversations.  The family went there for dinner once before The Restaurant closed...they were not fans of the food!  I think it was after Rocco had been pushed out.

My mother and I's winter Saturday ritual is to meet at my house or hers, take the dog for a LONG walk and sit and watch the Food Network for a few hours!  WE LOVE Paula Dean - not because I could ever eat anything she makes, but she is just so loveable.

Yep, watched the entire show!  Couldnt resist and I hate reality tv shows, but I love him!

I thought it was hilarious and he was GREAT!
I'm bummed I missed it, but I think season two is airing in June.

My favorite is Alton Brown.  My wife would say I'm obsessed and maybe I am since I stood in line for an hour to get his autograph.  She also calls Giada DeLaurentis (sp?) my celebrity crush, but who was the one that bought her second book the first time we saw it?  That's right, she did 

As far as others, we think Rachael Ray makes good food, but we can't stand her and her $40 a Day show makes us angry because she gets comped stuff that people without TV cameras would never get.

I LOVE Gordon, so i watched every episode, but i hated all the contestants.

Has anyone been watching the Great British Chef show that's on every night on BBC2?  Next week it's Gary Rhodes (lots more actually and literally to be used in a whole 5 days of him  ) vs some unheard of guy.  I've been sitting watching it, wondering if the Queen is actually bothered about all the fancy cooking and whether or not deep down she just wants a plate of chips!

Also, my favourite chefs at the moment have to be the Hairy Bikers www.hairybikers.com - funniest show I have seen in a long time, and one of them was a Geordie, so I have to stay true to where I am from!!  I'm so fickle!

I saw another episode of that and it was that Welsh woman (Angela Harnett?) v. some relatively unknown Welsh guy. Is that how they all work - a huge name v. a up and coming name?

It seems to have been, last week it was Nick Nairn who has been doing Ready, Steady Cook for years and some other random guy.  Never hear of the guy Athony Worral-Thompson was up against either, although I did find him rather arrogant, pity he got through.  I like AWT, he's always so jolly.

here in the states - my son and i watch food network all the time!!! we love it! he loves Emeril - i like Jamie Oliver! he's the coolest! he just seems so down to earth and like a normal person! I wish i could be as creative as he is.
