I always feel like a bit of a 15 year old admitting I have a MySpace... but here it is anyway :D

nothing very interesting I'm afraid, but I wanted to join in all the fun ;)
I'm thinking about getting metal legs. It's a risky operation, but it'll be worth it.

Does Facebook have as many options etc.?  Like designing your own page/blogging, etc.?
Just getting into it now.

to me, one of the best things about facebook is that design-wise, all the profiles look the same.  People can come up with some really ugly stuff on myspace, so I like that facebook offers guaranteed tasteful, well-designed profiles.

They do offer blogging in a fashion through their "notes" feature- you can even redirect an existing blog so that it shows up on facebook automatically when you update, which is super useful.

Thanks Andrea.
Ugly or not, I like to have fun playing with different layouts etc. and figure out what I like... that suits my personality.
But it sounds like Facebook has a more 'streamlined' approach, which is good too.

Really? I've never checked it out. the first time I heard about face book I was working a gig for a Fraternity/sorority "talent" show. They mentioned face book in one of theri skits so I thought it was all about young college kids. I'm on myspace because it's huge and I use it as a marketing tool for my band.

It was originally a social network for college/university students only. A couple years ago they added high school students to it. I think it was only in the past year that they've opened it up to everyone...probably to compete with Myspace.

My daughter thinks it's embarrassing that I have a Myspace page but the younger students in my class talked me into it and now it's a way we keep in touch the most.  I love searching the site for new music artists around the world and have found some good ones I never would have heard before.

Anyone on it?  How do you like it??
