My fiance lives on it... swears by it... says it is better than MySpace and Yahoo360. Never tried it myself though.

I'm on it, and it's quickly taking over my life.  Especially the poking feature.  ;D

There's a UKY group, too! :)

If you're registered on Facebook and click on the groups icon at the top lefthand side you can search for groups.  However, I believe you have to be invited to join the group.  If you're on facebook PM me and I'll send you an invite.   ;D

I love facebook! Here's a link to another thread about it. http://talk.uk-yankee.com/index.php?topic=33298.0 I think it has info about the uky group. I didn't join because I don't want my friends and family to know I'm on here. But I do have a few people added as friends.

Dh relented and signed up on it as many of his friends were but he doesn't like it so much. He can't do all the things he likes doing on myspace and for some strange reason if he even looks at an application someone else has on their site, it automatically becomes part of his site. He hates that!  For example, someone had some application where you answer their question. So he decided he would answer it but that in turn put the question application on his site and start asking questions he never even asked!  He definately is fed up with but is only sticking with it because it's the latest craze and most people he knows are doing it too.  Me, I am sticking with myspace. I can't be asked to run 2 websites.

I like it much better then Myspace.  Much more user-friendly and fun stuff to download on-to the page.

I can't be bothered with any of it! Total time suckers and I hate the layouts of all of them. TBH, I'd rather use my free time to see real people than spend any more time on the computer. Besides, UKY is my one true love!!! ;)
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

Oh so loyal.

It does not take up a lot of my time.  At first I was on it for a bit to set it up.  Now only a few minutes a day. :P

I have facebook and I like it, but I hate the applications.  I liked it much better when the applications didn't exist- now I log into facebook and see a million application "notifications" that I have to click to get rid of!  No, I don't want to "x" you or read your fortune cookies, thank you very much! :P

But other than that, I think facebook is great- really handy for finding out what other folks are up to (and since facebook got super popular when I was in the middle of college, I'm exactly the right age group for it so pretty much almost everyone I know from high school, etc is on there.)

I only really check it a couple of times a week. If anyone sends me a message, I get an email telling me. But it has been absolutely great for reconnecting with people I'd lost touch with - people from like 25 years ago! I've been having so much fun with it!

and I hate the layouts of all of them.

I don't mind the layout of Facebook. It's pretty standard and, though not exceptionally "pretty," there's nothing annoying about it to me. I can't stand the look of MySpace!

I just signed up this week. I figured, since I'm about to move and change my name, I'd better leave a breadcrumb trail for people to find. There was exactly one person each from my high school and college graduating classes.

Other than checking that, I haven't a clue what to do with it. I'm just hoping to seed enough online information that a Google search will turn me up. I've got a TON of online presence, but all anonymous. Sadly, I share a first and last name with a historical person's mom, so my Google trail will be muddied in any event.
