I'm almost to the UK, but I've been on Myspace for quite some time.

I like it!  You've got a lot of the same influences as my hubby (he's a guitar and mandolin player as well.)

Both a myspace and facebook addict...  And now this too!  Both have come in quite handy since I moved across the world since most of my friends are on one or the other!

Can't remember if I've already posted on this thread, but don't think so.  I'm at http://www.myspace.com/elliekendall
I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I don't know the answer.

Yea I have a myspace and facebook profile. Facebook seems more popular here in the UK than in the US. Myspace is great for music and films, and keeping in contact with long lost friends.

Facebook confuses me.  I think you can only go into someone's page if they are in your network (anyone know if this is true?).

Facebook confuses me.  I think you can only go into someone's page if they are in your network (anyone know if this is true?).

it depends on the user's privacy settings.  The default setting is that anyone in your networks can view your profile, along with people you designate as friends.  However you can change it so that only your friends are able to see your profile, or only some of your networks.  But if you're not in a user's network and you're not designated their friend, you have no chance of seeing their profile regardless of what their privacy settings are.

I've loved Facebook just for the fact that it has given me a good means of connecting with friends I haven't seen in over 20 years.  I've managed to find quite a few old friends.  I do get tired of a handful of friends that invite me to every application and keep sending stupid funwall posts though.

I found quite a few from the search of my gmail addy and then I looked in my high school and college groups after I had added my alumni info.  I then looked at the friends lists of my friends and often found old friends through them.  I find though that many of my friends on Facebook are my younger friends.  It's harder to find friends my age (mid 30's) but I still find several.  The funny one though was finding my father-in-law.  He never does anything on there, but he's the last person I thought would have a facebook profile!

I signed my mom up a while ago. She doesn't really use it, but back when I was fighting people on FB, I'd log in as her and use her to gang up on my attacker/attackee.

That was sweet.
