Yeah, but I have no clue where it is.  I went out on my own yesterday to Sainsbury's and that was a huge step.  I am a little intimidated going out on my own because all the buildings around here look the same.  I asked Mr. Moggs if he knew where the Whole Foods was, and he didn't.  I could look it up on Map quest or Google maps I suppose and it be a stop on our outings this weekend, but I am not sure what Mr. Moggs has planned for the weekend.  I was just wondering if someone who regularly shopped there could have a look.

Are you in London? Because it's really easy if you are. I'm in the wilds of the Welsh countryside and London (or any city) totally freaks me out, and even I found it easily. Take the tube to Kensington High Street on the Circle line. Turn right when you come out, and it's just a little way down. It's HUGE so you can't miss it.

(One of our UKY Londoners might give better directions, but honestly it's not hard to find!)

Weirdly enough, in our local 99p shop, we found Betty Crocker cake mixes, pop secret popcorn (three flavors!) and a whole host of other US products. Worth a look! And cheap!

Don't doubt yourself...those directions are spot on.  It is really easy to find from Kensington High Street tube station.  That is one of the stations with only one exit, so it makes it even easier.

There are no American brand hot dogs here.
But you can get Herta, which i think are German, and they taste exactly like American ones.   Just about every supermarket has these in the refrigerated section next to the packaged lunch meats.

Not sure if this has been said before but yesterday I was in Selfridges in Oxford St in London and there were 3 or 4 small tables filled with random American goodies:  Oreos, Jif Peanut Butter, Aunt Jemima pancake mix and syrup, Marshmallow fluff (the stuff in a jar), kraft mac and cheese, and EGG NOG in those cylindrical tall metal cans!  I was so pleased to finally find egg nog.  They are a bit pricey at £6.99 each, but it is so worth it.

Thought I would pass the info on.

Enjoy!

We have this stuff at the Brum Bull Ring Selfridges also and right next to the American goodies is the Krispie Kreme. Too much temptation there!

That's awesome.
Krispy Kreme is good but ee need to lobby Dunkin Donuts to open branches in the UK. I miss their coffee something fierce  ???
Good things come to those who wait...a really long time.

There's a little neighborhood candy shop on Town Street in Horsforth and I only *just* discovered they sell Reese's Peanutbutter Cups and Hershey's Chocolate Bars in regular and almond!!!  :D

Also on the same street in the Morrissons they have Betty Crocker ready-made spreadable frosting (or icing--whichever is the American-style stuff--not the hard as a rock with even less flavor than a rock British stuff).

I found a jar of something that purports to be dill pickles at Lidl the other day.  I haven't opened them to try them out yet, but they have all the right spices in the jar, so it should be okay.  They had loads of pickle products--some of them were sweet and might be a good substitute for bread and butter pickles, but I made some of those myself using a mix that you make in the fridge that my Mom sent me, and I still have two jars left!

Also, someone mentioned somewhere that the little rostbratwurst (or something like that) in the chilled food section tastes a lot like Jimmy Dean-style sausage.  I tried some, and it does!  I wasn't feeling motivated enough to make biscuits and gravy, but I think they would convey the appropriate taste just fine.
