Has anyone used an American food site in the UK? All I can seem to find that sells most products is SkyCo, but I really like to shop around! Are there any others you've used that have worked well for you?

I've decided the best way to get a real dill pickle is to order one online as I don't go home until next Christmas! [smiley=laugh3.gif]

Thankee!

I found some American goods (pop tarts, frosted flakes, kraft mac n cheese, reeses, jelly bellies, etc etc) at Bentalls in Kingston in case anyone is near here. There was actually a good amount. Its on the lower ground floor near the Krispy Kreme :)

I can confirm Julia_atlanta's endorsement of Bentall's.  They also have Old El Paso green chilis, vlasic pickles and A&W Root Beer.  And Bentall's is a great department store on its own.

I found root beer at my Asda - 6 cans for £1!!!! It was with their other non-branded 'fizzy drinks' ... it's in blue shrink-wrap and there's an American flag on the can. I'm so excited! I'm going to buy as much as they have in stock before they run out!! ;D

£6.99 a bag?  Are they gold-plated kisses?

Topshop has  Hershey Bars and Reese's nutraegous at the moment. I've seen Hershey's Kisses there in the past too, and they weren't £6.99 a bag! More like £1.

I thought the same. They were the holiday ones (green, red, and silver) in a bigger bag, not a little one. Still not spending that much!

Taste and make sure you like it, first.  Sainsbury's does a root beer, too, but it wasn't quite what I was looking for.

I guess it depends what kind of root beer person you are - A&W or Barq's!

My co-worker just told me about a shop he saw in Bridgnorth this past weekend.  He didn't go inside as he has no interest in American products, but he did pass the information along to me  :)

Good find Kare! I just Googled them and found their website & online store! It's a bit pricey but the postage is maximum £6.99 which is a lot cheaper than some other places.

Does anyone know of a site which sells US and Mexican? I want to get some Mexican ingredients plus pickles and A1 sauce and some US sweets but I can't find one that sells everything.

Not sure on that, Britwife.  Brown sauce tastes an awful lot like A-1 to me, so I tend to make do with that on the A-1 issue. :)

DH wants A1. He's tried HP and says it's not the same. I thought I'd get him a surprise package of goodies and he hasn't had A1 in almost 5 years now so I think he deserves a treat.  But anyway I think I'll have to get the Mexican and US goodies from separate places. I thought Lupe Pintos might have it all, because they certainly do in their shop but nope, online they don't have the pickles.
