Mrs Elswood Haimisha Cucumbers Pickled.

Give them a try!

DH wants A1. He's tried HP and says it's not the same. I thought I'd get him a surprise package of goodies and he hasn't had A1 in almost 5 years now so I think he deserves a treat.  But anyway I think I'll have to get the Mexican and US goodies from separate places. I thought Lupe Pintos might have it all, because they certainly do in their shop but nope, online they don't have the pickles.

Isn't it strange how we like our own, familiar, things. I did the opposite in the US having some A1 sauce and thinking, it's just not the same....not as good as HP!

When I was visiting London, the one thing I could never find was Soy milk like American soy. I found Soya all over, but it tasted very fruity in comparison to he soy I was used to....  But maybe I just needed to look harder?

This may have been mentioned already but I found tinned black beans in Tesco yesterday and promptly bought out the remaining supply there.  I found them in the World section, not the lentils area. They're called Epicure and are organic as well so found in the organic section of the World section... if that makes sense.

I may have found the most perfect pickle in the UK! It is from the Homemade Cucumber Company and we bought them at the Costco in Reading. Not a hint of sweetness and found in the refrigerated section. Great!

Hi

Does anyone know where I might find oyster crackers in or near London? None of the online stores mentioned seem to have them - except cravingamerica.com and the shipping costs are a little high...

Thanks for your help!

Haven't been able to find oyster crackers (or saltines, really) but Skyco carries the original (non-cheesy) Goldfish crackers - which taste exactly the same.  They're £1.67 for a regular sized bag (like you'd buy in a US store) and shipping is, I believe, based on weight....

Anyone know where I can find those big fat Dutch pretzels? The ones that come in a box, not a bag? Doesn't have to be a U.K. store. I'll happily order from one of the expat food sites too.
And if you threw a party
Invited everyone you knew
You would see the biggest gift would be from me
And the card attached would say
"Thank you for being a friend!"
