Maybe this is old news, but I never saw them before, until tonight (I've not really been looking for them either) - I happened to glance in the cereal aisle at Morrisons tonight - and they do have Kelloggs Pop-Tarts:  strawberry and chocolate, the frosted ones.  And if they have them at our tiny local Morrisons, then I'm sure they are elsewhere.  I don't plan to get any, but thought someone out there might want some & so just keep an eye out.

There is a website site newcomer link: http://www.americanimportsltd.co.uk [nonactive] I have found.  This company also have Market stalls in Nuneaton on a Saturday and in Coventry indoor market from Tuesday through to Saturday.  If you e-mail them through the website they try to get what you request.

Pop-Tarts have been around in the UK for quite a long time (early-90's or so, I believe - I remember seeing them in Tesco when I was a pre-teen), although they are not really being advertised anymore and they sell very few flavours in the UK compared to the US.

Mountain Dew was sold in the UK for a while in the 1990's but it apparently 'didn't catch on' so it was withdrawn from the market.

Very slow reply back here, lol.

Darn I missed Mtn Dew by 10 yrs or so, lol.  Its very popular in America.

Check your local Chinese/Asian supermarket.  This is where we can find Mtn Dew & sometimes root beer for semi-reasonable prices.  Apparently it's really popular in Singapore (or was it Malaysia - I can't remember), so the Asian supermarkets tend to import it along with their other stuff.

Yet another slow reply, lol.

Wow maybe theres hope for me yet, lol.  Thanks I will try and seek out some Asian stores in my area.

Does anyone know if Costco here in the UK sells many american products?

A guy from work has a membership but he doesn't know much about american food. I know they stock Skippy Peanut Butter there but i'm hoping they carry things like Rice A Roni, Hamburger Helper, Kraft Mac & Cheese, Texas Pete etc etc.

If anyone has a membership or knows the help would be much appreciated.

The only thing I've found about Mountain Dew in the Asian supermarkets (at least the one where I bought some) is that it's 'canned' in Singapore - it's the official stuff, licensed by Pepsico, but it tastes different to me, probably a slightly different recipe.  A friend's son drinks it and finds no difference, so it's worth a try.  I just thought it didn't taste quite right, so I hold out for the real thing!

If you really love mountain dew it's available at quite a few places but very very pricey. There's a shop at Lakeside mall called Sweets From Heaven and they sell it and also I think there's a place in Chelmsford that sells it.

Isn't it annoying how you find something once in your local supermarket and get all excited. Then when you go back again they don't have it and probably never will. "No demand"

Yes!  Morrisons was selling this chipotle paste which was fab, and now they don't have it anymore.  Bastids!  >:(

That's nothing. Asda used to sell "frozen beef slices", 10 slices in a box for 99 pence.

Philly Cheese Steaks people!

But they stopped selling them and even when i've called up their head office to ask about them they have no idea what i'm talking about. "we sell fresh beef slices in our deli department" Ha!

Farm Foods still sells frozen beef slices, same as phillys but the meat is wierd. Comes out tasting more like a kebab.

Get ready, I need to mention the 'n' word.  Netto does Kraft macaroni and cheese.  It is in red box and it is called Kraft Cheesy Pasta.

Farmfoods also sells Tide.  I couldn't believe it...steak slices and Tide.
