As an aside, where do y'all find Chipotle peppers?

Morrisons carried a couple of chopped chipotle products at different times, and I would always snap them up as soon as I saw them.  I've gotten chipotles from Lupe Pintos before, up in Glasgow.  And I bought some chipotle flakes that were a Cool Chile product in the Food Hall at Harvey Nicks.

Really just a case of scouring the shelves wherever you go - you just never know where they might turn up.  And when you see them, seize them!
Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in...

Got a day off today and doing dome errands in Barnsley I came across a Polish Supermarket.
It had perogies (both frozen and in the chiller) which DW was most interested in when i told her, and various hot dogs including Turkey Franks, so she's going to check the place out before our July 4th BBQ so see if the hot dogs are suitable!!!
Also the usual pickles etc there

I found an American food stand in the middle of that mall-thing in Cambridge last week.  For some reason, even when I'm only out of the US for a short time, I always find the need to buy nerds when I find them abroad.

At Last!!!
Driving home yesterday I couldn't believe my eyes..  A buffalo wing shack in London!!!  I parked up and went it to see the menu.  The place was called stickywings and was on Lewisham road. The food was only to take away, so I decided as I was already there, I'd order some.  The guy told me I would have to wait 10 minutes or so as they cook everything fresh.  When they arrived I opened the box and looked inside. The guy asked if I wanted a bleu cheese dip for my wings (of course I do!)
I had to try one at the counter as the smell was so good.  Heaven, that's all there is to say.  Finished the rest in the car, and smiled all the way home. 10/10

No, they didn't do teryaki.  I did go  again yesterday and asked if they would do teryaki? I was told by the boss that they plan to do more styles of wings soon, he intended to add teryaki to the line up.  I had a wrap yesterday and I just cannot believe how good the food is in this place!   Three friends of mine have now been there and all loved it.  They even do thick Oreo shakes.  Its way above fast food and I predict its going to be a big chain in the future.  maybe I should buy shares. lol

Oh my gosh, this thread! This is what I do, this is my job!

I'm a buyer at a fancy deli in Kent and now that I'm there we do all sorts of American Foods! The biggest hurdle is the price, so very sadly, we have had to discontinue so many wonderful lines like Saltines, Graham Crackers etc due to a lack of interest. We still carry Lucky Charms, a variety of Aunt Jemima (syrup, pancake mix), Zatarains (no Gumbo) Hersheys syrup, corn syrup, marshmallow fluff, Oreos, Clamato, pickles, relish, grape jelly, ranch dressing etc. I don't want to look like I'm advertising, so if you want the name of the shop, feel free to pester me.

Oh, and I saw earlier on that people were looking for proper parm, romano and provolone - that's something else we do. Sadly, the provolone doesn't come in slices, it's proper chunks

Also, another thing to do is to get in touch with some of the importers and they can point you in the direction of where they distribute their goods. If you google 'American Food Importers' or 'Distributors,' it'll come back with some of these places. I've just done it and recognized some names.

I'm sorry if this is vague, I didn't want to look like I was advertising. Like I said, feel free to get a hold of me if you'd like the details - I'm happy to share.

I don't know if anyone has asked this, before--but I don't have time to wade through 100+ pages on my BlackBerry: Does anyone know where I can buy Lipton's Beefy Onion Soup Mix in S. Wales (besides Amazon.com)? The online shops want wayyyyyy too much, for something I used to pay a buck and two bits for, back home!
Wherever you go, there you are!

Morrison's have Green Giant creamed corn.

A couple of recommendations from our trip to Edinburgh
Mamma's pizza on Grassmarket, advertised as "traditional American" and they also advertise as "gluten-free" which DW is following at the moment. They also do "normal" pizza as well.
DW said this was the best pizza she's had in the UK.

We also went to a Mexican restaurant, called Panchos Villas on the Royal Mile which was excellent.

They have both types of Karo corn syrup at Ocado/Waitrose.

But if you want to make sea salt caramels, you might want to use this recipe, that recipe looks really artificial :/
