Is it possible to get Silk soymilk in the UK? Last time I was there to visit hubby, couldn't find it or an alternative.
Alpro is the big brand here and seen it sold in the free from range sections of all major supermarkets. Even more corner shop carries it. According to wiki theyre owned by the same company, dont know if its the same recipe.

My in laws are trying to help but always buy the hotdogs in water that taste spongey.

My in-laws bought the canned hot dogs once. I thought the hot dogs tasted weird so I looked at the ingredients and it said "Mechanically Recovered Chicken - 58%".

Google it  [smiley=puke.gif]

Yes, Tesco carries something very similar.  I have a friend that only uses that.  Sorry, but for the life in me, I can't recall the name.

OMG, Mountain Dew.  I think I may have just died and gone to heaven.

My bestie is coming to visit in 6 weeks and when she asked what she could bring me I said "a Mountain Dew, just one.  I think if you bring me more I may die."  Off to check out your website now!!!

Is it different to the Mountain Dew over here as I've seen it a lot lately in canteen at work and shops.
I'd like some American diet Dr Pepper....tastes much better, and also the diet cherry Dr Pepper

TykeMan: Ohhhh yes! The Mountain Dew ENERGY the UK now gets is rubbish in comparison... to me it just tastes like a watery/weaker version of Mountain Dew! Then of course there is Mountain Dew Code Red which is like liquid Marzipan and Mountain Dew Whiteout which is also delicious!

We sell them all, and are looking at getting some Dr Pepper cherry ordered over the next month.

There is a smallish stall on the Blackburn Market that has some American treats. I didn't have a chance to look at exactly what or prices as I was walking by. Today I was at the Mall and noticed a small kiosk of American treats. Wow... I was expecting to see import prices, but my goodness! £2 per Twinkie (from an opened multipack box you can get for $2.50 at Dollar General and about $3 elsewhere, for either 10 or 12 Twinkies. I also noticed it was £7 for a box of Froot Loops and $6 for a bag of Flipz. I suppose the prices wouldn't have seemed so horribly high if they'd had something I desperately want, like root beer or a truly favorite treat I can't get here.

You're near me then in Blackburn.  I'm near Accrington.  I've only ever been to Blackburn once and it was for the hospital - I think I'll need to take a shopping trip :) (Froot Loops!!  Could be a Christmas present eh? lol)

£2 a Twinkie is extortion.  We charge £1.25.

It is all well and good saying "its costs $2 in the US" or whatever, however you do have to take into account the work involved getting it over here.  Containers/air frieght, VAT and customs charges all add up and I certainly wouldnt expect to pay £2 for a box of, lets say, Tetleys teabags from a British shop in new York for the very same reason  ;D
