Hey, I've just launched www.americangoodies.co.uk [nofollow] where you can buy Lucky Charms, Mountain Dew etc, as the name says... American Goodies! We're very new so still waiting on some stock to arrive, but have plenty of Cereal, Mountain Dew and Wonka sweets in stock!

-American Goodies

Wow, I just checked out your site, and I love it!  :D

My new years resolution was to eat healthier, but I guess that's going out of the window now! ;D

Do American kitchen products count as food in this context?  Anyhow, the good news is that Tupperware is relaunching in the UK this summer: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/mobile/magazine-13331830

Meanwhile it is still available in the UK through a small network of consultants.  Find your local person via www.tupperware.co.uk

I cover Central London, and I am happy to offer UKY members on my patch a 10% discount.

Hello, I used americansweets.co.uk for most of my craving for USA foods. They are based in Aldershot and I online order from them all the time. They also have two shops as well, Aldershot and Guildford. I would recommend this site or at least have a look and see if they can help you out.

Sadly the Tupperware relaunch has been cancelled, but you can still get it in the UK via the links above.

You all might want to take a look at Ocado (Waitrose delivery service) - My American wife (Michigander) has just has a delivery including the following items freely available.....

Miracle Whip
Kraft Mac N Cheese
French's Fried Onions
Jif Peanut butter

She also buys an Italian cracker from Sainsbury's or Asda - can't recall than name of it now (something like Ghiardelli) in a black wrapper - exact copy of Saltines she says

Sainsburys stock Oscar Meyer bacon

Asda and Sainsburys stock Carters Root Beet - OK it's not A&W but it's root beer.....

Not a bad collection for stuff which can be bought "off the shelf"

Found a great place in Notting Hill today called the American Food Store. They have everything! You can even order online.. newcomer link: http://www.usafoodstore.co.uk [nonactive] . Check it out..its awesome x

That place looks great. Im looking for something like that, ie a store in london that I can go into (not online) that stocks US products.

I'm mainly looking for Baked Beans (preferably all the flavors of B&M Beans). However that store doesnt seem to stock them :(
Anyone know a good source of B&M beans?
Failing that, anyone know an online store that would have low shipping for beans?

I'm sure Panzer's in St. John's Wood has been mentioned numerous times in this thread.  Selfridges also carries some American products in its food hall.

Lakeside and Bluewater shopping centres both have a store called Sweets from Heaven which have ridiculously overpriced cereal, candy, and soda...

Always check the food section in TK Maxx as well. They sometimes carry A1, Hersheys syrup, Fluff, American cereals, etc.

Thanks, just bought some Original flavor b&m beans form Panzer's!

Now to find somewhere that has all the flavors....

Hmmm, an 'American Diner' just opened up here in this town.

Open from 8 am, it has a full Scottish Breakfast  ???
Fail!!!!!

It does promise to have a 'traditional pancake stack' - Hmmm...

“it’s the ultimate American dining experience with a huge choice of burgers and steaks, tex-Mex and hot dogs, pizzas, pastas and salads – all served US style
with big portions. Vegetarians won’t be disappointed. We cater
for everyone.”

Hmmm...  Need to go suss this place out.  I think its a place pretending to be American and will probably offend my American sensibilites  ;) ;D

Perhaps someone can explain to me where the term "Full English (Irish, Welsh, Scottish) Breakfast" comes from. I've never seen a "half" breakfast offered?
The only meaning anything has is the meaning you give to it.       ~Author Unknown

I have *yet* to find a place that serves a decent American-style hamburger - instead of a Salisbury steak on a bun. A burger does NOT have rusk in it. The end!  [smiley=chef.gif]

I've found a few random things floating around the net -
One is to differentiate it from a light continental style breakfasts

Or from the breakfast panel -
Quote
Breakfast as we know it began in the early 19th century, when some middle-class men started to work regular hours in offices – prior to that people would often work for a few hours, then eat a meal at about 10am. Wives or kitchen staff would often serve these 19th century commuters a two-course meal that would often begin with a bowl of porridge. This would be followed by a full English breakfast: toast and eggs with bacon or fish. This style of meal wasn’t referred to as the ‘full English’ until the First World War when lighter breakfasts grew in popularity.

So who knows for sure?
