Taking US OTC medication to UK
« on: May 21, 2006, 02:53:29 AM »
My journey to the UK for my vacation begins Thursday!  I'm excited, anxious (more in a good way than a bad way), and my friend is really looking forward to seeing me again.  :D

I am packing some stuff now, including gathering some OTC medications I need to take with me.  To save space in my toiletry bag I am planning to take the medicines out of the box and just have the wrapped pills.  For traveling to the UK, is this an ok idea or a bad idea?  I'm not taking in anything strange and it's obvious that the amounts would just be for my personal use.  What I have are Dramamine, Tylenol (in their original travel cases, no problems there), Benadryl, and Midol.

I don't anticipate any reason why these would be cause for alarm because I'm sure they are brought in all the time by travellers, but I just want all of my bases to be covered!

Won't be a problem.  No one will probably even look through your stuff.
Love your life, poor as it is. You may perhaps have some pleasant, thrilling, glorious hours, even in a poorhouse. The setting sun is reflected from the windows of the almshouse as brightly as from the rich man’s abode; the snow melts before its doors as early in the spring. Cultivate property like a garden herb, like sage. Do not trouble yourself much to get new things, whether clothes or friends. Turn the old; return to them. Things do not change; we change. Sell your clothes and keep your thoughts…
