I know, I'm picky. :P

It's OK to be picky! I feel exactly the same way. If somebody's getting paid to make sure that there are no mistakes and inconsistencies, then I guess I expect that person to do his/her job properly. I'm the same about movies -- more so, possibly. I figure that if they're going to spend a gazillion dollars/pounds making a film, it had better be perfect!

Technical errors in movies and TV shows have come up in some of my tech forums quite regularly.   (O.K., so we're all geeks...... ;) )

Telephones are often misrepresented, and quite often one does not even have to be a "techie" type to spot the mistake, e.g. a scene which is supposedly set in New York and a character walks up to a payphone which has a Pacific Bell logo emblazoned on it.

For another very common error, just watch out for the number of times you see someone drop a coin in a modern single-slot payphone and the sound effects department has dubbed a "ding ding" on to the soundtrack.    The bells and gongs went out with the old three-slot phones years ago......
