Fingers Crossed!
« on: June 11, 2006, 09:36:28 AM »
I am leaving today for a 2 day intensive driving test which concludes with taking my practical Tuesday Afternoon. I have been putting the driving thing off for two long--have actually not been able to drive for almost 6 months now! Please keep your fingers crossed for me!!!

Let me know how it goes!!  Best of luck.

I'm currently in the process..  I've been taking one-a-week lessons and i don't think it's getting me where I need to go.  I'm seriously thinking about doing exactly what you're doing. .

Congratulations!!   [smiley=balloon.gif] [smiley=2thumbsup.gif] [smiley=balloon.gif]

Details please!!  Where and how much.  I've not been able to drive since May 18 (been here 1 year).  I've just received my provisional license and need to get going as soon as possible!! A 2 day training and test sounds ideal!!

Congratulations!! I'd also like to hear details. I'm suddenly finding myself in a bit of a rush to get mine sorted and this sounds like it might be a good solution!

I highly recommend it here is the link to the place I went:

http://www.learndrive.co.uk/index.htm

I did the two day which does not give you a pass guarentee but I couldn't afford to take anymore time off work (or pay for a longer course!)
I had been putting it off for ages--haven't driven since last November when my year was up. I arrived the Sunday night..met with the instructor monday morning. I did the shared course which I really liked---you are paired with one other student. You go out all day but you switch driving every 30 minutes or so. I found this useful---I got fed up after about 30 mins of full concentration but while the other student was driving I was still hearing tips and suggestions and thinking about driving!

Any further questions ask away--but bottom line I would recommend it!

Wow, it's not nearly as expensive as I would have thought.... In fact it's probably cheaper than booking private lessons at home. It would cost me some cash to get all the way up to Blackpool, but it might be worth it. I'll have to have a chat with dh about it!
