Can anyone please recommend a good hotel in Paris? We're looking for a charming hotel, nothing commerical like Holiday Inn but reasonably priced as well somewhere in the Montmartre area but we're flexible about that.

My husband and I got a place called Hotel Scribe on Priceline last year for a really good deal. Its like two blocks from the Opera House and a five minute walk from the Metro. Its not the location that you wanted, but it is non-commercial and has great ammenities and service. We stayed at the Hotel Louvre back in March for two days and it is similar in that regard. The prices there were very reasonable for Paris. . . .

My dad always insists on staying at the Best Western Left Bank St. Germain in the 6th. Although it is part of the Best Western chain, it is in name only. It is a small, charming hotel in a good area and the prices are very good.

Good luck!
