I love this show. I can't wait until the start to show them over again. I came in half way so have no idea how it started. Awesome show!

Ok, but what is it about?!!? ;D

It's about a Mormon family in Utah (1 husband, 3 wives, 7 kids).  They used to be part of a huge community of Mormons, but moved away from that life and now live in 3 houses next door to one another.  Interesting concept for sure and so far so good really!

Actually, the husband mentioned something about having 3 mortgages.  It appears they tore down the fences so they would all be joining.  I think the first wife has the nicest house for obvious reasons.  The second wife has an okay house, but she was complaining she wanted new stuff.  And from the first episode, it appears she's a spendaholic!  And the third wife just gets the short end of the deal because she's the newest, lowest on the totem pole, and it seems like they're having financial issues anyway.

They (as a family) never lived in the Compound.  Barb (1st wife) and Margie (3rd wife) never lived there.  I don't want to tell you anymore...it's a pretty good story on how they all got together.  You have to keep watching it will start to piece together.

Okay, well I knew the husband and the first wife lived on the compound, they explained that much.  Can't wait to watch how it unfolds since so many of you have said how much you like the show!

I don't think so, I was looking on Five's website and I didn't see it repeated anywhere.  Sorry!

I think they may be downloadable though, if you are looking for the first two episodes.  Just a thought!   :)

Ha! What a strange concept for a show! Cheers, Kristina! :D

I'll first say that I haven't actually seen this show as I don't get the channel that it's on, and I realize that it is fictional, but one small detail...if they're practicing polygamy, they're not actually Mormons.  Anyone who practices this is excommunicated from the Mormon (LDS) church.

Having said that, it does sound like an interesting show.  I'm currently in southern Utah and there is a HUGE polygamous community w/in about an hour's drive of here, straddling the Utah/Arizona border.  It's all a bit shrouded in mystery tbh, but the families usually live in one large house owned by the church rather than in separate houses.  There have been several big stories about this community lately...the biggest being the hunt for church leader Warren Jeffs.  I understand he's on the FBI's top 10 most wanted list.  There was also a big story about birth defects in the community, as there is so much intermarriage between family member going on there.
When I am grown-up I will understand how BEAUTIFUL it feels to administrate my life effectively.

Until then I will continue to TORCH all correspondence that bores me and to dance NAKED over the remnants of its still glowing embers.

I thought the same thing when I first heard about the series.  This is explained over a few episodes.  It's very interesting & cleverly done.

I've seen the whole 1st series (thank you BITMETV! ;)) and I really enjoyed it. It gets more and more intriguing as it goes on. And the ending will leave you wanting the 2nd series to hurry up and come back.

They made a point of saying as much at the end of the show and during the show they mention how one of the wives misses LDS.
