Bi Carbonate of Soda?
« on: June 15, 2006, 03:11:17 PM »
What section of the grocery store is it in? DH's aunt wanted me to pick her up some yesterday on my trip to Tesco's and I couldn't for the life of me find it. I looked in the baking section and near the spices, etc.,  but I could not find it. ???

It's Baking Soda, or what we call Baking Soda in the States.  Odd that you couldn't find it in the baking section.  That's where I always find mine.
Only Time will tell.. it's just too bad she's a closed mouth B**!!!

Could be that they were out of it.  My local Sainsbury's stocks only one brand of it, so there isn't much selection.  And it comes in a little plastic tub thingie.

Should be there, near the flour and stuff.

It should definitely be near the flour and cake/bread mixes.  It's usually in a little display with cake decorating stuff, vanilla extract, etc.  It'll be in a little tub with a blue top.
