Our Checklist for the Embassy
« on: June 17, 2006, 01:37:53 PM »
Hi everyone,

Thanks so much for your help and advice so far!  ;D Just thought I'd put up a checklist of everything my Fiancee is taking to the Embassy interview with her, which is on Tuesday 20th in LA, in case there's any glaring omissions which I'll try to sort out before then!

-  Her Birth Certificate
-  Her Passport
-  The printed out form thing she did online
-  The email confirming her appointment at the Embassy with date and time
-  Her College and Highschool certificates, and employment history with references (and she will state she intends to find work as soon as she is legally able to do so)
-  Passport sized photos of her (taking all 4 just in case!)
-  Various Phone bills, emails, photos, plane ticket stubs, covering all the time since we "met" online in September 2004, and photos of all the occasions we met in person since then.
-  A letter detailing our relationship history, including times spent together etc (had to do this for the US Fiancee Visa back in April, so figured it was worth including!)
-  Letter of support and statement of intentions from me
-  Complete copy of my Passport, signed by a Solicitor, with his details attached
-  Bank statements for my Savings and Current Accounts
-  Bank statements for our joint accounts in the US
-  Letter confirming my employment, and a contract of employment from my current employer (no payslips unfort, as I only started on 1st June and am paid monthly)
-  Letter from my parents confirming we can stay in their house as long as needed with no rent, and details of our accomodation unit (bedroom, bathroom, kitchen , dining room etc, so it's not just one room in the house)
-  Title Deeds of the property showing it is currently owned by my parents
-  A letter stating our current wedding plans, subject to visa approval (i.e. have got church booked, will do reception etc and pay deposits once her visa's confirmed)

Any feedback, thoughts etc are more thank welcome!
