Changing Appoinment Date
« on: June 23, 2006, 11:10:22 PM »
Does anyone know if its possible to change the appoinment even just by a day or two?

my wife has her appoinment in Los Angeles on the 27th, and i will be with her.
we are waiting on my bank statements (i only have 2 here) and a letter from my employer stating i have a permenant job to go back to.
all our savings are in my wife's account, so its not like my statements show anything to prove we wont need public funds.
we hoped that me having a job, her finishing cosmotology school, living at my mums house and the $2,000 we have would be enough to satisfy them.

if anyone knows what we could do to posstpone it a little without having to pay again, it would be greatly appreciated.

thanks!

I had to postpone...twice. Log in to the appointment screen as if you were scheduling a new appointment. Use all your same info...but select a new date. When you hit submit...it will tell you that you have an appointment scheduled already it will then allow you delete that appointment...and you just fill it back in again with the new dates/times. But you won't be able to schedule you for a day or two probably...have to take the next available...whenever that is.

My advice...collect EVERYTHING. Make sure you have not only your Mom's letter but also her rental agreement or mortgage info. Bank statements. Employment letters...on letterhead...my hubby works for this small business...the cheap so-and-so didn't use his precious letterhead. That was one of the problems I had.

And don't forget to include pics, emails, cards all that stuff too. I barely scraped by. Hope you do better. PM me if you have any specific questions. I would say good luck but I think better would be...good preparation.

RIGHT
I have done this before too... I am silly.
So they tell you if u need to change the date, make sure you change it 48 hours prior to your original appointment date.  MAKE SURE you get all ur stuff. Set the date for a day you think all your info will be to y ou so you dont have to keep rescheduling.
 :)
 GOOD LUCKY!
I am sure it will be fine. I wish my hubby can come to help me with mine. but he is very important and busy :)
