My happiness is waking up to another sunny morning. It might get bad later, but at least I can get out for a walk while it lasts.

Ditto - a blue sky does wonderful things!

A lovely fourth anniversary celebration yesterday!  ;D  DH made me a really funny card (always does) & gave me the new Conor Oberst (Bright Eyes) CD.  I gave him that Chinese Food Made Easy (BBC programme on TV now) cookbook, and Nigel Slater's Eating for England.  (I sort of wanted both of these books too. :-[)

We were going to stay home and eat in, to save money...  But DH was tired & neither of us felt like cooking.  Plus we got word that I'm getting an insurance reimbursement for some of the dental work I had done when I broke my molar earlier this year - £420 worth (of about £700-ish).  So we felt a bit more flush with money & splurged for the wine bar/bistro across the street & down on the corner (I love where we live!).

Then it was just to stumble a few yards back down the street to our house & fall into bed! ;)

And it's sunny this morning, except I slept in until nearly 11 am! :o  (but I was awake & restless from 4-6 am, so it was nice for DH to let me sleep except that he had to go into work - boo)

Having an unexpectedly lovely day (the Beeb got the weather forcast horribly wrong!).
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon
