The whole apartment smelling like pumpkin pie. We had a sneaky trial piece each, and it tastes as good as it smells.

Slobbing on the sofa with hubby, Christmas tree lights going, Judas Priest concert on the tv, Sam Adams Cherry Chocolate Bock to drink, and grandpa's thick socks on my feet. Life is good.

Seven - ten inches of snow on the ground, fresh baked chocolate chip, white chocolate chip macadamia nut, and gingerbread cookies just out of the oven, the Christmas tree going, and *St. Nick comes tonight!

Not having to work today even though I was on standby in case some of the others who have to drive farther couldn't make it. I worked my day off yesterday, and didn't mind, but I didn't want to give up two in a row. Snow on the ground should be appreciated from home, not work.  ;D

Getting the last loaf of bread at the convenience store while we were out for a short trip to the bank and to fill the car, saving the adventure to the grocery store or Walmart. The roads are still horrible. We braved Walmart yesterday but it was so hectic that we only got a few groceries and forgot bread.

Getting  back home from Germany (and the Christmas Markets) last night after all the kerfuffle with the airports here in London yesterday, had to deal with cancelled flights and delayed flights until we finally made it home   :D

Going with a friend to pick out clothes, coats and toys for the two kids he 'adopted' for Christmas from the Salvation Army's angel tree this year. One little guy is six, the other is one. We had a lot of fun and laughs walking around looking all all the adorable clothes and testing out the toys.

Showing up to an interview and being told "Sorry, HR posted the wrong job spec.  This role isn't purifying of recombinant proteins; it's developing new toothpaste formulations"

...And still managing to nail the interview.
