Happiness is.....

The weekend is nearly here and I have a massage booked!

My 14 year old furnephew (cat) Bishop only has a mild UTI and is going to be fine with just a shot. He'd been having a tiny bit of blood in his urine so we were all worried about him, due to his age.

DH had a spot on his back that he was worried about so mentioned to the dr...they took a blood sample and such and then called at 5 today saying he needed to come in right away as they needed to see him in person (which freaked us out of course)

Thankfully it is just a chicken pox scar that is infected (he just got the chicken pox a couple months ago!) so all it needs is a topical cream treatment and should be healed up soon. So I'm so happy that's all it is (as with no details on the phone my mind was racing to terrible things, though the doctor did apologize the receptionist didn't explain it well enough!)

So happiness is having an easy to treat diagnosis and an otherwise healthy husband!

Thanks! And I'm guessing when you work somewhere like a drs office things become very matter of fact and in a case like that she probably didn't even think the way she phrased it would cause worry. Ah well water under the bridge now!

Snow! We were right on the edge of the maybe snow, maybe ice area of this weather system. We've had a little sleet mixed in, but we've already got almost two inches and they are calling for 5 - 8. Guess we will know by tomorrow how much we are getting.

Updated to say we have a couple inches on the ground but are currently getting a LOT of ice. We're supposed to get precipitation in one form or another for the next 13-15 hours, so I am sure we are going to get more snow out of it.

a job offer!

I've been offered a position at Whole Foods, but I have an interview at the House of Lords next week...so Whole Foods said to call if I don't get that job and they are happy to have me start. The guy was really nice (and his wife is American!) and said I sincerely hope you get that job, but if not we're happy to have you start here!

So obviously I hope Thursday goes well and I'm offered this permanent salaried role, but if not at least I finally have a job for in the meantime so I can make some money!

... keeping the car on the road and going in the direction I wanted it to go this morning, despite being nearly sideways going down and around the exit ramp. Black ice is spooky stuff.

All the snow we've had this winter has been easy to drive on. Black ice, on the other hand...

Laying around in bed with my Hubby [snow day], doing quizzes together.   I miss him when he's at work, and not just because he helps with the kids.  I love it when we can be together all the time.  Hopefully one day, we can work together and not have to be apart ever.

Our tax return arrived, which means along with what we have saved and just a tiny bit more from this week's paychecks, we will be booking our tickets tomorrow. Roses and chocolate are great Valentine gifts, but give me a plane ticket to the UK, and I will gladly pass up both. 

Snow falling heavily outside making the world look clean and gorgeous. Warmth indoors, full cabinets, fridge and freezer after a full shop today, and hubby and I are both off work today and tomorrow. Life just feels so cozy today.

Got my provisional license (along with my passport being returned) today, yay!! 

Also just booked tickets for the Knitting & Stitching show in London in March and signed up for several workshops.... Ooooooh so excited to go! 

Although it has rained off and on, and we are under a tornado watch, it hit nearly 70 today! As much as I love snow, I am ready for spring, after months of brutally cold temps.

... loving how amazingly relaxing an overnight getaway can be. When we get home, it will only be 24-26 hours since we left, but I feel ready to get back to life with recharged batteries and a sunnier disposition now.
