Accepting a job offer. A real full time, permanent, well paying (especially considering what the agency though I could get) position. It's very similar to what I did in the states (university admissions) and even for the London branch of the same school so should be an easy transition.

I'm chuffed to bits as my husband would say!

AT&T sent out a tech on Sunday, during an ice storm to rectify their mistake. We were told Friday someone would be out yesterday to fix our net, but the man I talked to put it in their system as Tuesday. When I called yesterday they didn't have any appointments for the day but set one up for this morning.

In my six years of being here, I've never actually had a thin-crepe-"English" style pancake.   I've had lots of really yummy Scottish pancakes with butter and jam but never the thin kind.

Our team decided to have a pancake morning this morning, as we forget that yesterday was Shrove Tuesday.   A team member made up tons of extra pancakes last night and we heated them up and had a nice breakfast of pancakes with lemon and sugar.  Wow, the lemon-sugar thin pancake is really tasty!!  I am fan now!  :)  Mmmmmmmmmmmm!

Getting accepted to university to do a degree here.  It will cost a fortune and be really hard work but I love my subject and am looking forward to learning more and more about it!  HOORAY.

Thank you very much!  My boyfriend and I tried making pancakes ourselves last year, we failed miserably.  But!  They are very nice when done right! :)

We do it every year for breakfast here. Annoyed we didn't have any Canadian maple syrup, though, so consigned myself to jam.  :-\\\\
