One of the two overdue babies we have been waiting on arrived this morning. My cousin and his wife were six days overdue, but their little lady decided today was the day. She's as beautiful as her two sisters and mama. Now, we are waiting for friends in the UK to let us know their three day overdue little one has arrived.

I know it isn't an exact science and doctors can only guesstimate the due date, but it seems to be human nature to get impatient when the 'due' date arrives.

Job perks. On my two early days, I can use the washers and dryers in the laundry room to wash blankets that don't fit into my washer at home. I could do all our laundry if I want, but I don't want to take advantage.

Since we are slow because of Christmas, I enjoyed a few cups of coffee while watching the 1935 version of 'Scrooge'. Through the day I also watched 'Miracle on 34th Street' (the original) and part of 'White Christmas'. Tomorrow will be much the same, but with different films.

(hoping this is a happy ending): DS phoning last night to say he'd been in two ERs the past two days with severe chest pains!!  Both medical facilities ran all the tests and the conclusion is musculo-skeletal.  Costochondritis, one of those idiopathic things for which the only treatment is NSAIDs and you'll get over it in maybe a week.  He's dodged the bullet.

Hooray for happy endings and (hopefully)  easy fixes.

Here I sit,  watching 'Santa Claus is Coming to Town'  and getting paid for it. I have to be here
 til 3, but there is nothing to do. Yesterday and today have been great. Easy,  watching lots of Christmas specials,  and hubs and I have been raking in the tips.

Ohio State winning the Sugar Bowl and advancing to the National Championship game.  If only it wasn't on at 8:30 pm EST.

Any chance of a nap prior to it? When we had late NFL games - such as 1 am kickoffs, we'd nap that day knowing we'd be up until 4.

Mine is very minor in the whole scheme of life, but we bought new pillows today.

I wish I could nap but I have enough trouble getting to sleep at night!  Fortunately the in-laws have BT Sports so I can record it on ESPN then watch the next day (and skip all the commercials  ;D ).  YAY! for new pillows!
