Wage slips - print outs?
« on: June 30, 2006, 12:13:46 PM »
Hi all

My FIL is co-sponsoring me for the spousal visa since my H just got a job and I'll be coming over with a bit of money but not a lot. In his job he only gets online wage slips, so for immigration would it be ok if he just printed those off and signed them? He's sending a letter  too that he'll help us out of we need it financially.

Don't forget that the bank statements cannot just be "print outs" of the Internet site for your balance.  The need to be the proper bank statements, with the bank address and all the proper information.

Ooops, sorry about the cannot typo!  :-\\\\

It doesnt matter how much money you have.... I was worried about that.... they are mostly concerned that he doesnt take money from public funds... I found it nerve wracking that was the main concern of the entry clearance officer asked for random other stuff as proof of our relationship. I brought in a huge box of dated envelopes and present boxes sent through the post for the past 2 years etc... as well as emails they like those allot (the more personal the better)(sexy talk) ::) !

One thing Im not sure if you know aswell is that even though you are married he does need to send a letter of intent....

Its not too scary just make sure you have more than what they ask for! anything you can think of even if it is

Well, the amount of money you have would determine whether or not you are going to need public funds.

Thanks everyone

My H is sending a letter of intent, along with all the necessary paperwork (bank statments, mortgage papers etc) Also a letter from his parents that we can stay there, and they'll help us financially if we need it etc. Plus everything else they asked for. We'll have to include emails as well too  :P

As long as we're on the topic of print outs - I have another question about online bank statements.  I have accounts with ING, that is where I store my cash savings and those savings will be needed as proof of our ability to support ourselves.  Until April I had my account set to "paperless banking", meaning that I received pdf statements.  These statements contain exactly the same information in exactly the same layout as the printed statements I have been receiving since April.  I tried calling ING to get paper copies of my back statements, but they were unable to provide these for me.

Are printouts of these pdfs acceptable?

I will need to include printouts from December through April for my accounts and December through June for my husband's accounts (I forgot to have him switch his statement settings).

Thanks.

I don't know where people are getting these "no printouts" rule, because when I applied for my student visa in Jan 2005, all we had internet print-outs, since both my parents & I use online banking.  No one at the consulate said anything about them & they seemed to work just fine.  *shrug*
BUNAC: 9/2004 - 12/2004. Student visa: 1/2005 - 7/2005. Student visa #2: 9/2006 - 1/2008. FLR(IGS): 1/2008 - 10/2008. FLR(M): 10/2008 - 10/2010. ILR 10/2010!!
