Flatshare on a fiancee visa?
« on: July 03, 2006, 03:43:35 PM »
I have a job in London starting next week, and to keep costs down I'm looking at flatshares in London (commuting from Luton is almost £300 a month. Ouch.) Is it allowed to be living in a flatsharing situation on a fiancee visa? We want to go ahead with getting Liz over here on the fiancee visa ASAP, but we're worried about whether the whole flatshare thing would affect our chances of getting the visa.

No, that's fine.  As long as both your names are on the tenancy agreement or the landlord has written a letter saying it is okay for you both to live there.

I recommend www.gumtree.co.uk for flatshares btw.
