OMG! I am soooo happy you won it!! We snuck out right after Lee spoke, (I did get some shots of him and Floyd on the stairs for that ;)).

This was the most incredible weekend of my life! I can't even begin to thank Amy enough for involving me with it. I have about 2500 or images to go thru, but will post some in a bit.  Quite a few are of the cocktail parties, and receptions, as well as the team party from last night. But being at the finishline, as the peloton rode thru was awesome!!  Amy was legendary in how graceful and masterful she handled things this weekend. I was happy staying in the background, but just everyone there was so nice.

My resourceful hubby managed to get himself positioned in front of the awards stand with the press corp, he was more excited than a 7 year old on Christmas morning, lol.  That piccy is one I took from the IShares tribune, while balanced on the top of the seats, on one foot, leaning on Amy's husband to steady myself, and praying that no one made the thing jiggle while I was focusing, LOL. It was beyond words :) More pics to come.  I got about 200 alone from the awards presentation,  so there are alot to pick from.

One thing David and I agreed on, this makes doing weddings a helluvalot tamer in comparison now, LOL.

Way to go Floyd, and congrats Amy on winning the jersey! Am going to run up and tell hubby right now! We only just got in about 45 minutes ago, I am completely shattered, lol.

P.S. hubby also asked if you were going to Ebay the jersey, LOL

Thanks :) I have to sit down this morning, and go thru every image,  I am hoping for alot more like that one. Panning was so hard, because there were so many people around me, I was afraid I was going to 'smack' someone with my lens, LOL. Hubby should have some good ones from when he ws on the other side of the barrier tho. He's going thru his now in slideshow, and moving the good ones to give me to work on.

How awesome!!!  Great pics too!

I saw Floyd signing the yellow jersey's afterwards and they commented on how the jerseys would go to the VIPs of the sponsors...I actually wondered if you would get one!  I'd have that puppy framed with a pic of him standing on the podium.

What a great experience!  SOOOO jealous!

Teri, gorgeous photo!

What camera/extras did you use?
Hollywood, CA -> London, UK 2004
London, UK -> Long Beach, CA 2007

Best 3 1/2 years of my life!

I feel so awful, hang in there tho Amy, the second test results may change things. What bothers me that they are saying that no one can find him or his agent. :( I am hoping that it is a fluke.  Am keeping a good thought that it's all a huge mistake.

Elizabeth, I used a canon 30D, and on that photo a 70-300mm with IS. I wish I were strong enough to hold a 70-200 with IS, but that lens weighs a ton.

I have a great manfrotto tripod, but rarely ever use it. Just when doing portraits really. Most of the time, I like to be able to move around and get at different angles. Tripods and monopods are useless with IS lenses however, you have to turn the IS off when you use a tripod, because of the vibration of the IS motor, kind of a catch 22 really. :/  I tend to shoot medium range and wide normally so I can have more interaction with people, and direct them a bit and David shoots long with a great zoom. He uses nikon tho.

David's long zoom is a 70-200mm with IS (VR since it's nikon), and even he gets really tired holding it for too long.

Thanks guys, it was an incredible expirence.
