Congratulations!  See?..it wasn't all that bad!

We're still going through the waiting game.  Mailed off our passports and supporting documentation on July 11, it was signed for on Jul 13, and we just received an email on July 20 stating the following:

Quote
Dear Applicant

Your passport and supporting documents have arrived safely at this office and are currently being processed. Our normal processing time for mailed applications is 5 working (Monday -Friday) days. You will receive further notification by e-mail once the visa has been issued.

Please do not call this office for an update unless we have exceeded this time frame.

Regards

New York visa team.

I think I've chewed off all my nails during this period.  We decided to be daring too and put our house on the market despite the fact we don't even know if we're approved.  :)

LOL, I know that feeling!  I'm not waiting on my visa yet, but a letter from my bank that I need to *apply* for the visa, so I'm getting impatient! Roll on Monday!

Yup they are! It wouldn't be so bad if EVERYONE got an email stating the documents were received and are being processed, but some people don't. Its annoying waiting for something to arrive that might not even come  ::)
