For the record, my documents got into the LA consulate yesterday morning & still no e-mail.  I'm not holding my breath, but rather waiting for the one telling me everything's approved!!

Yeah, but it's all about peace of mind. When you're sending in a lot of stuff that's personally important, you want to know that it's in the right hands! Especially when you're paying for the privilage!

So true.  I was utterly terrified of not getting my passport back, or dh's.  Especially since I couldn't sit around all day waiting for Fed Ex, I had to go to work.  I did end up with shouting matches with them about why I couldn't change where my documents were being sent to.  It went along the lines of:

Me:  I need to get this transferred to being delievered to my work, because I can't be there to sign for them.
Fed Ex:  We can't change where they go to because of the nature of the documents and the hold that's been placed on them.
Me:  I know they are important documents, that's why I need them redirected so, I can get them as soon as possible.

Getting my visa was one of the most nerve-wracking things I've ever had to do!  I took both his and myt passports everywhere with me for at least two weeks after I finally got them back.

So do you guys have all your plans to register set?  Found your nearest registry office that handles immigration related registry?  Are you guys going to have a big ceremony, or just a simple registration?

We've made a prebooking in Bath for the end of September. Will have to go to either Bristol or Swindon to do all the registration stuffs.

We're thinking of having something small with just a few close friends and then going away for the week somewhere together.
