I am officially a BRIT!
« on: July 20, 2006, 06:21:09 PM »
I just had my ceremony on Tuesday July 18th...it was great...I feel really privileged to be a dual citizen.  I have sent off my paperwork for the electoral role and postal vote...it is such a relief after going through FLR, IDL and all the visa process....

it was a special day there were about 25 other people becoming citizens as well, we had to stand up and say a pledge of loyalty individually and then go to the front to get our certificates of naturalisation....i had my pic taken with a council man and with a pic of QEII in the background...

we went out to din to celebrate afterwards...i heard through the grapevine that the citizenship test mite be revised and made more difficult soon...

yipee!!!!!
My home for 18 years since June 2002. Became a citizen 2006
