Does US Mail Forward Internationally?

If they will not forward a piece of mail for any reason, will it still be delivered to the address?

I know after we had been in our house for 2 years we were still getting mail from the old owners, even though they had only moved across town. I would say it goes to the address on the envelope.

While the forwarding is in effect, non-1st class mail will normally be discarded.  After the forwarding time period is done, then most likely it will just be dropped off at the old address.

how about magazines? will they get forwarded overseas?

Magazines count as periodicals, and therefore will not be forwarded, according to one of the previous posts.

Here's another question-- I'd like to keep my California Drivers License. If I put in a change of address from my Cali address (my mom's), will I lose my right to the DL? My only concern is that my mom's notoriously bad for not only forgetting to forward my mail, but for losing it entirely.
