Of course!  I want the rich people with easy cases as my clients!  Though I'd probably get bored, and wouldn't have the same sense of achievement as I do with my tricky cases.

And I'm not allowed to charge more just because a client is minted, worse luck!!!

Well, I don't think there's anything tricky about us, other than the fact my partner is a grumpy old sod who's never seen 6am in his life. We are not, however, Madonna rich  :)

I totally come from the school of just hire someone to do it.  Immigration, Taxes, plumbing, carpentry, painting, cleaning.  I am incredibly lazy and I get stressed out by things like taxes and immigration.  I worry I will do it wrong and then be up a creek without a paddle.

Stoatula - I don't charge Madonna fees!  PM me if you need any help.

Karin - If i do your visa for you, will you do my tax returns for me?  The form has been sitting in my drawer for three months and I'm scared!!!

I agree completely, but I can't afford to hire others!  But for those who can, more power to 'em!

To clarify...by 'tricky' I mean a less than straight forward application, rather than 'tricky' as in 'a bit dodgy/suspect'.

I've always wondered that. Like Lindsey Lohan said recently "I think I'm going to move to London...I like a boy there"...you can't just up and move but of course she's rich and she can support herself -nods- so I guess she doesn't have to do the above visa options.

Wherever you go, no matter what the weather, always bring your own sunshine.

I'm sure a lot of the celebs who move to the UK seemingly without worrying about visas actually qualify for HSMP quite easily...
Now a triple citizen!

Student visa 9/06-->Int'l Grad Scheme 1/08-->FLR(M) 7/08-->ILR 6/10-->British citizenship 12/12

Yeah, but HSMP means you need real skills...  18yo Lindsey Lohan might have a hard time.

Of course the independent investor thing is always a possibility for those with a couple million lying around.

Lindsey Lohan probably would qualify for the HSMP, as she'd get max points for significant achievement and past earnings.

Otherwise, if she set up Lindsey Lohan UK Ltd, she could come as an entrepreneur, or if she wanted to be in the threatre or make a film she should come on a work permit.

Reeeka - the point is that she definitely would have to abide by the same rules as anyone else.
