I haven't moved yet, but I've been giving this topic a great deal of thought recently....
Things from the kitchen that I'm definitely bringing include:
+ measuring spoons
+ Pyrex measuring cup
+ several Pyrex dishes - my 8x8 square one, my 9x13 lasagne dish, my pie plate, my glass loaf pans, and my round casserole with the fitted glass lid
+ my favorite shallow saute pan, with lid
Everything else I can buy in the UK (or ask for as a wedding gift!) - I'm trying to pack as lightly as possible, but I don't know what I'd do without my Pyrex!
I was in IKEA in Gateshead in April and found a 3-cup glass measuring cup (more of a beaker, really - it was huge!) as well as a set of measuring spoons with quarter, half and full teaspoons as well as a larger spoon that I initially thought was a tablespoon, but turned out to be something metric. I was ridiculously happy to find the measuring cup - the girl at the checkout remarked that she didn't think she'd ever seen anyone actually buy one, which makes sense as the Brits probably see it as a silly Swedish oddity rather than a very useful kitchen tool!
