We used to get a lot of requests for veggie stuff. Mexican pizzas without the meat, tacos with beans instead of meat....we'd do stuff like that all the time.

That's how I always ordered mine. Mexican pizzas with no beef and chalupas with beans instead of meat. Mmm...

I have no idea if they're still there, but back about 15 years ago there was a Taco Bell in Leicester Square (Charing Cross Rd. side), and another somewhere out Earls Court way.

Well it's not an answer to the question, but some others are trying to get it to the UK!

I've been on a bean burrito kick lately......I've been buying those cheap cans of pinto beans, pouring them into a pot with a little oil, and some mexican type spices, letting it cook until the beans get really soft, then mashing them with a potato masher, add a little more oil, turn up the heat and let them fry a bit, and wah-lah!! Refried beans!! A whole lot cheaper than buying actual refried beans that they sell here!
Then I just stuff a tortilla with beans and cheese and homemade salsa. Yum!! And it's really cheap.

I hate Taco Bell.  Just walking into one makes my stomach churn.  The town I grew up in in Vermont had one, but it went out of business.  I believe it's the only T.B. in the states to ever go out of business.
