Terry named new England skipper!

John Terry has been named Beckham's successor as captain of the English national team, with Gerrard as his vice-captain.  Hurrah!  Terry is well-deserving of this, considering how skilled he is.

I didn't think Terry did particularly well in the WC, but am dead chuffed that he got the captaincy.
Insert wonderfully creative signature here …

I thought Terry was shite in the WC, and I just can't believe how little I care about the England captaincy.

I mean, let's face it, anyone can do better than Beckham did.

I wish Terry well.

I think Steve McLaren has missed a great opportunity in not naming Gerrard the captain. In a tight game you need someone to take the game by the scruff of the neck and get a result, Terry is unable to do that as he is in defence. Atleast its the end of the Sven'n'Becks era. Thank god!
