When I went for my visa in Nov. I stayed at the Metropoliton(sp?) hotel ,it was literally around the corner from the consulate. I walked over at 7am and was the first to arrive. They wont even lewet you wait inside til 8am and start taking applications at 9. Within about 25min. there were about 12 of us. maybe 18-20 when we were allowed up. By 8:15 there were no fewer than 30 people and by 9 there was definately a line(and I was first!!) The UK had just started making all people from certian countries get visas, even if they were just stopping there in transit to other places.I'd suggest you go early, it took all of 10min. to submit my app. and by 1pm I was the happy reciepient of my FLR.
