No replies because there are just too many to name!

In pubs at the moment I am mainly drinking Discovery, a nice light Summer Ale from the Fullers Brewery.

strongbow cider.  not the most elegant but just yummy and summery.

Meggles...that's awful stuff!

At least go for Magners!  Pricey, but so much better!

I second the Magners recommendation.

Anyone tried Nyetimber sparkling?  It is good....

strongbow with blackcurrent.  i know.  people in my town call it loopy juice as it was often the first thing teenagers would get plastered on.

oh- and don't forget the pimms.  but with this weather it's not so nice anymore.

You used to be able to get a cider called Cripple *bleep* a few years ago. I kid you not!! It was from the west country somewhere.  Anyway that was nice.

I second the Magner's!

At the 'Spoons I used to work at, we had a 7.1% cider called Old Rosie.  It rather TASTED like it was 7.1%, lol, but wasn't half bad!  I kinda like it, because you actually felt like you were drinking something, unlike some of the sweeter, weaker ciders.

We tried Old Rosie's scrumpy cider.  it was awful!!  but I'll try the magners.

My current favourite is Steamin' Billy, our local's own brew (named after the owner's dog).  On a cold day, I like Guinness extra cold.  I also am a big fan of Everard's Tiger.

Had a yummy shiraz from West Australia.  Don't remember the name but it was the best wine I've had in years.  Have also been trying New Zealand sauvignon blanc.  Very nice.

New Zealand white wines are the only ones I really like...Cloudy Bay I think is the vinyard.

Tesco has a great range of ciders in at the moment.  Apparantly the UK cider market has rocketed this summer, mainly because of the Magners campaign!

I'm a vodka drinker so I dont have anything to offer here!!

But, Rich loves cider and says he likes Scrumpy Jack, but generally he'd prefer a bit of an organic scrumpy (he just had to explain what this is to me!)

I like cider and prefer Strongbow..I know, so sick and wrong!  ;)
Magners is nice too but I don't think it's that much better than S'bow to pay the difference...
That's just me! :)

I drank (quite a bit of) Swedish Cider last week called Kopparberg.  It is very sweet, but was really nice.  We had regular, summer fruits and pear. Tasted like alcoholic juice/squash.  We found it at Weatherspoon's.

But when I'm drinking the my usual cider, I prefer Stowford Press.

I've had some real farmhouse cider a few times and it was NOT pleasant.
