Should I bring US Med Records?
« on: August 15, 2006, 03:10:10 AM »
I have a pretty extensive medical record - cronic illnesses, many meds, etc. When I move to the UK, should I bring a hard-copy of my medical file from my doc's in the US?

In your case I would think that it would be prudent to.

It is always better to bring a copy.  Sometimes the doctors will be keen on them and sometimes they won't even bother to look.  But definately bring them with you!

i brought copies of my most recent tests for everything.  bloodwork, pap, ultrasounds, etc.  i also brought my immunization record sheet (copy of) i didn't actually copy the US medical records as that would have felled an entire forest.

if you can't get copies of everything, don't sweat it, but it's a good idea if you can.
If you harbour bitterness, happiness will dock elsewhere.
