Kimberly, another point to add, as long as you sent your application in before the expiry date of your visa it does not matter really how long it takes. While your visa is being processed you are not classed as overstaying :). The only annoyance is that you're left without your passport.

Worry not :)

Even if your visa expires while a decision is being made, just as long as the application made was valid.

Hi-  I applied and paid online 12 May 2017.  Please note, this is just an extension...I've been on a spousal visa since 2014 but don't meet the 5 years yet, so I'm trying to extend.  Does the fact that I did it all online (sent all documents the very next day) make it go any faster?  Also, does the fact that we've been through this before and ALOT more thoroughly make it any easier for them to approve?   I would think they wouldn't break up an established family...but I'm worried nonetheless.  Just keep hearing nigtmare stories about 6 month waiting tims...REALLY???!!!  Any advice is greatly appreciated. :)  Thanks!  Kimberly

Hi Kimberly!  :)

When you said you did it all online, just checking that you enclosed a printed copy of your application form with your other documents?
