Tax Question for Helen
« on: January 28, 2004, 12:04:48 AM »
Helen,

I married my husband here in the UK in September.  I was still employed by the US branch of my company until end of Oct.  I had to resign from the US branch and signed a contract with the UK branch (and main office) starting Nov. 1st.  I don't have a clue about what I need to do about taxes.  Do I have to file here in the UK (where I live permanently now) and in the US or just one country?  Also, if I have to file in both countries, how do I go about it?

Thanks,

Sandy

Life should NOT be a journey to the
grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well
preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand,
wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and
screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"
