It's funny this surfaced again, cos I was just thinking about it last night in bed.

I hate having to spend money to ship it, if we're not here permanantly, definitely want the furniture and stuff at my parents' house, and am torn. I almost wish we were forced to do it, you know?

*sigh* Thanksgiving week (a quick trip home) is going to be all about paring down me thinks.

Are any of you planning on shipping things over someday?

I have tons of things at my parents home in the USA as we don't know how permanent any move is.  If I knew 100% I'd sell it all.  Heck my parents still have my VW Passat.

We still have a lot of our stuff stored in a chest of drawers in my DH's parents' house in his old bedroom. We tucked away as much as we could before we moved to the US. (Thankfully we didn't accumulate all that much while I was a student over there, or we would have been in trouble.) We're living in the US now, but we are thinking of possibly moving back to the UK a few years down the line, so all that electronic stuff in that chest of drawers might come in handy again someday.  ;)

Me too!! I have stuff at my sister's place. Most important is my piano that she's keeping for me, I've had it since I was nine, and I miss it terribly. I HATE not having a piano.

I did have alot of stuff at sisters. but when we were home this past sept I went through alot of  my stuff  an got rid of alot of clothes that I will never wear again. I now only have 3 XL size  Rubbermaid containers with lids & 2 Medium size Rubbermaid containers with lids as well. they are off to the side in a corner where they arent in the way. I also have a big Oak Hope Chest I got as a  high school graduation gift. that I dont want to get rid of it's way to beautiful.
