You could have heard a pin drop in the office when we discovered this fare from Continental: return flights to New York (Newark) for £160 including tax. That is the lowest price we have ever seen for travel to the Big Apple.
We found the fare available for Gatwick departures on various dates in January, February & March next year. Better still, it includes weekend travel -- we know as half our office booked this offer!

How to book: go to Continental's web site and enter your dates and EWR or Newark as your destination, then follow the booking prompts.

Although I can't take advantage of this, here's a link to info re: Delta Airlines -- they are starting a new route between Gatwick and JFK and apparently they are offering return fares for £160 including taxes (I'm sure it's on a first-come first-serve basis of course!):

Holy Guacamole! I am going home (PA) for Thanksgiving! Just booked RT Gatwick-JFK for $304 and can get JetBlue from there to Pittsburgh.

I have not been to my PA home for a few years and can't wait to see everyone.
