Soft Pretzels.
« on: September 01, 2006, 10:44:59 PM »
Hi. I will be moving to England with my family next summer and starting my A levels. When i went to see my family this summer, i realized a very weird thing: You cannot find a soft pretzel anywhere. My Nan didn't even know what it was. Currently, i live in the land of Philly Pretzels. Are there any places that you know of that have soft pretzels? Thanks!  [smiley=mickey.gif]

I dont' know of any but they're actually pretty easy to make!
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

Apparantly they have Auntie Anne's in the UK, I've never been to one to know how similiar they are to the ones in the US, but I would think it would be the same since it's a franchise.

Hope one of them is close to you  ;)

After you arrive in the UK, you can take a nice weekend break to Germany and get all the soft pretzels you want!   :)

There used to be an Auntie Anne's at Victoria station in London but I have no idea where they are now.  But at Bluewater shopping centre in Kent there is a Mr. Pretzel that isn't all that bad. They just don't serve any dips with them.

OH!  I knew I'd had one somewhere.  That was it.  And that other coffee place...........um.............Coffee Republic?  Is that a coffee place?

And Selfridges used to have a kiosk in their food hall.  Don't know if they still do.

Yay! Thanks! I hope a lot of these places you are mentioning are near the general area that i'm moving to. I live right outside of Philly too. Soft pretzels are a staple around here. Hmmm. Man, now i'm craving one!
