Well I called the show and they called me back a few min ago. They story is you have to train with a top London chef for 8 days. And they are looking for someone "ball-sy". I said "God, please dont say its Gordon!" She said she cant tell me who it is but if it was him and he said my cooking was crap what would I say to him? They are filming in late Oct.

How did I know you'd be the one interested!!?  ;)

I checked out his web site to see if there was anything about it there, but no. The only upcoming event listed for the autumn is the opening of his first NYC restaurant in September. Looks like he'll be free in October!!  ;D

This is interesting, though, because on his other programs the contestants fancy themselves really good cooks. So when he insults them, they get offended. But here ... it's all people who are self-admitted crap cooks.

I hope you do it Ricki!! It sounds a bit like that Rosemary Schraeger show, where she gets two families who live on junk food and teaches them how to cook a proper mea lfrom scratch.

hee hee he.... The woman asked what i feed the kids. I told her fish sticks, hamburgers and sandwiches. Frank does most the real cooking either that my friends do it when I can bribe them with alcohol (Meshell)

I dont think it would be Gordon to be honest. He does stuff on channel 4. Maybe its not a celeb chef at all. All she said is it was a top London chef yet she said she cant tell me who it is because it would ruin the surprise.  ???

The lady asked me if I prepared a dish and was told it was "crap" what would my response be. I said "well I dont claim to be a good cook so if its crap it would be the chefs fault for not teaching me properly"

today I have to take pics of my kitchen.  :-\\\\
Embarrassing!!!

You know, I would guess Jamie Oliver.

Why? Well, it's funny when Gordon swears at these people who think they're the best when they are not. It would not be funny watching him berate a poor, insecure terrible cook who fails to cook eggs and burns fish sticks.

This chef would need to be sympathetic and nice.

So I'd say Jamie Oliver would be the perfect candidate. And he does Channel 4 as well.

I thought maybe Jamie also. He's too cute to get mad at. Too bad he always looks like he needs a bath.
