well done europe (ryder cup)
« on: September 25, 2006, 05:30:37 AM »
What a pleasure watching the ryder cup this weekend has been, it is not very often you get to see high level sport played with such a will to win but yet with such regard for your opponents.  The American team showed great respect and honour in defeat and were happy to admit being beaten by a better team, they can go home feeling proud.  The whole event was filled with never to be forgotten moments, 2 hole in ones, tiger woods caddy accidently dropping tigers 9 iron in the lake during his round, he had to play on without it, the emotional roller coaster with Darren Clarke playing 6 weeks after the death of his wife from Breast cancer, Paul Mcginley giving his opponent a 40 foot put so they could share the match because he thought the game had been too good for either of them to win.
