Who did you use to transport your pets to the UK from the US?
some seem more expensive than others.. thanks

I flew my dog with me on British Air from San Francisco.

ahh thanks Jenn , I have a golden retriever.. i think ppl may be a tag bit upset if he sat next to me in a chair LOL

They dont fly with you, they fly below in the cargo hold

did you use a service to help with the travel planning, transportation and paperwork etc ?

No, I did everything myself through my vet for all the documents and booked the flight myself through BA.  Its pretty simple.

I flew Virgin Atlantic.  They were the only approved carries from DC at the time.  They were expensive, but wonderful with the pets!

I flew BA from Boston to Heathrow. I did it all myself as well. I know all the rules and paperwork sound and look really daunting, but once you get your teeth into it, it's completely manageable.

Oh right, I forgot to mention the expensive part!  Raisin's ticket cost me $2500! (not including vet bills or the crate)     Its ridiculous that it cost more for her to get into the country than me!!!

I'm using Continental to fly over with my two kitties.  I fervently hope it goes ok.
