Our youngest asked for soldiers one morning-but I had already cut it into squares.  So I cut the squares in half and presto-little squat soldiers (as she calls them).
Now when she wants toast in the morning she gets upset if they aren't little squat soldiers.
 :)

That's so cute... :D

This is one of my favourite "comfort" breakfasts...nice and simple and nutritious...though I'll admit I'm partial to plain white soldiers.  I'm suprised so few Americans seem to like it.  I guess it's the runny eggs.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I've never been a fan of runny eggs.  Even now if I have eggs they have to be scrambled dry or I won't go near them. :-\\\\

For a comfort food breakfast, I much prefer French toast with raspberry jam!

Oooo, that's my hubby's fav, too.  I found a recipe recently for French Toast with Kahlua and Irish Cream that looks unbelievable.
